Sameer Cassim is a digital infrastructure executive with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-value commercial agreements across some of the world’s most demanding and competitive markets. Specialising in the alignment of engineering requirements, deployment timelines, and investor-grade financial frameworks, he has spent over a decade structuring the infrastructure agreements that enable the world’s largest technology platforms to scale with confidence and speed.

At BDx Data Centers, a digital infrastructure platform backed by I Squared Capital, Sameer serves as Senior Vice President, Business Development — reporting directly to the principal investment owner and responsible for shaping commercial strategy, structuring investment frameworks, and driving market expansion across the Middle East. In this role, he operates at the intersection of private equity capital discipline and hyperscale infrastructure demand, translating long-range investment theses into commercially structured programmes that position the platform for durable growth in one of the world’s fastest-scaling data center markets.

As Lead Strategic Negotiator within Google’s Acquisitions & Development team, Sameer operated at the intersection of technical delivery, commercial contract architecture, and institutional capital discipline — responsible for executing infrastructure programmes across a portfolio spanning 15 countries, including the inaugural Google data center launches in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.

Sameer holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering with a major in Energy and Conservation Management, and completed the Advanced Leadership Development Programme at IE Business School in Madrid. He began his career as an Energy Engineer in South Africa — a technical foundation that continues to inform every commercial position he takes. He is based in Dubai, UAE.
