Tariq Al Tayer serves as the Director of the Foreign Direct Investment Department at the Ministry of Investment. In his current role, he focuses on advancing the UAE’s position as a premier destination for foreign direct investment by fostering international partnerships and driving strategic initiatives.

Prior to joining the Ministry, Tariq held leadership roles at DP World : where he spearheaded global investment roadshows, managed key international partnerships, and oversaw digital transformation projects across critical markets. His professional background spans international business development, trade facilitation, market access and logistics.

Tariq holds a degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan and Professional Certifications in Supply Chain Management. Fluent in Arabic, English, and Italian, he offers a Global Perspective and Cross-Cultural expertise.
